Tiger BioSciences Highlights Study on Advanced Placental CAMP Technologies

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Dec. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiger BioSciences is highlighting a pivotal study published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences that evaluates placental-derived allograft technologies for wound care applications through improved biological preservation methods.

The human placenta has historically been valued for its natural barrier and protective qualities in wound closure. This research examines innovations in Cellular and Acellular Matrix-like Products (CAMPs) technology that maintain the complete 3-layer placental membrane structure and introduces a novel 4-layer configuration with an additional amnion layer. These developments endeavor to preserve more native proteins and healing factors inherent to placental tissue.

Key Research Findings

  • Comprehensive protein analysis discovered over 8,900 proteins linked to tissue repair within advanced CAMPs
  • Both 3-layer and 4-layer configurations preserved essential proteins under physiological conditions, promoting tissue repair
  • Cell-based assessments demonstrated new blood vessel formation when both technologies functioned as barriers

"This research highlights the biological features of placental CAMPs and their ability to function as a wound covering while maintaining native features important to wound closure," stated Garrett Grinsfelder, President of Tiger Wound Care.
